The melon pipes They are one of those parts so little valued of this fruit and that always ends up in the garbage can of every home.
But during these years I have learned to give them the value they deserve by taking advantage of the great benefits they can bring to our health, either because of their high content of fiber and vitamins as well as protein.
Today I will use them to prepare a delicious gazpacho of melon pipes and prawns. You cannot miss it because it is such an original and refreshing recipe that it will surely become one of those usual dishes in your kitchen 😉
First we must learn to prepare the milk of melon seeds:
MELON SEED MILK
This milk is super easy to make and we can incorporate it into many of our usual recipes for both lunch and dinner.
To start, we separate the pipes from the melon meat. We leave them in water for a day so that they are soft. Discard the water and put them in a blender glass incorporating mineral water until we have a milk texture.
We let it rest in the fridge for about 2 hours and ready we have our milk with which we can make gazpachos, smoothies, even dress a salad.
GAZPACHO OF MELON SEEDS AND PRAWNS
- Step 1: Place the peeled and cut prawns at the base of the bowl.
- Step 2: Add a little chopped chives on top of the prawns.
- Step 3: we add some croutons.
- Step 4: Finally we finish watering the prawns with our melon milk and a little oregano.
